This is an intra-oral and extra-oral treatment for those experiencing TMJD (temporomandibular joint disorder). TMJ massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on the muscles and joints around the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), which is the joint that connects the jawbone to the skull. It’s a natural, non-invasive way to relieve pain and tension associated with temporomandibular disorders (TMD). TMJ massage can help to relax the muscles, improve mobility, and reduce pain, headaches, and other symptoms related to TMD.

Cupping

Cupping massage therapy is a technique where specialized cups are placed on the skin to create suction, which can help increase blood flow, release tension, and potentially alleviate pain. This therapy is often used in conjunction with traditional Swedish massage therapy or other complementary treatments.

A vacuum is created inside the cup when it’s placed on the skin, which draws the skin and underlying tissues upward.  The negative pressure effect can help reduce adhesions and chronic tension.

I’m Stephanie Meiller, a Registered Massage Therapist with a special focus on TMJ (temporomandibular joint) treatment.

I’m passionate about helping people feel their best, and I love building meaningful connections with my clients. After nearly 20 years as a certified Level 2 Dental Assistant, I decided in 2022 to expand my skills and explore the world of Massage Therapy, where I discovered the powerful benefits it offers the body.

My goal is not only to help relieve pain but also to bridge the gap between dental care and massage therapy for those with TMJ disorders. With specialized training in TMJ massage, I provide relief by targeting the muscles of mastication, both externally and internally. I’m also happy to collaborate with your dentist, physiotherapist, or other healthcare providers to ensure your TMJ care is seamless.

I look forward to helping you find comfort and ease.
